There can be no doubt about the fact that education is the single greatest change-making aspect that mankind has ever produced. Education lays the foundations of healthy communities, successful futures, and a realization of one’s potential. It breaks down barriers that poverty has put up. It brings clarity amidst confusion. It equips children – irrespective of where they come from, with the ability to create the world they want instead of surviving in it.
At OSS Foundation, we do not just talk about these values; we embody them.
The value system that shapes our work is incredibly simple but also very profound, every child has a right to a good education, regardless of his/her socio-economic status, caste, gender, and location. This fundamental right applies not just to privileged kids but to all kids, irrespective of who they are.
But for millions of kids in India, this dream still feels like a dream.
In the underserved areas, where people are marginalized in remote rural and overcrowded urban areas, the problems facing educational institutions are not mere inconveniences. They are huge systemic challenges which have been prevailing for generations. Poverty leads children to work rather than study in schools. Poor facilities at schools lead to dangerous and demotivating learning environments. Lack of adequate learning materials leaves educators and learners unable to achieve their goals. Moreover, the widening digital gap results in millions of children being left behind in a world which moves fast ahead. These are not mere statistics to keep track of; they are facts about children whose future hangs on a thin thread.
At OSS Foundation, we strive to face these challenges directly, not by launching grandiose projects, but by taking a grassroots approach which views each child as an individual and each community as a worthy subject of our efforts.
We believe that quality education should be built by creating safe spaces where all children feel valued, accepted, and included. Children do not have any capacity to learn when they feel unnoticed, unwelcome, or frightened. That is why our model puts the creation of an inclusive, caring learning environment at the forefront of what we do, creating such an environment where curiosity is appreciated, diversity is cherished, and no child is left behind.
To make it possible, OSS Foundation cooperates with schools, teachers, communities, and volunteers who believe in the transformational power of education. We provide diverse support for each community based on its specific needs – from scholarships for underprivileged children whose families are struggling to meet their basic needs to mentoring programs for students who will benefit from having someone to guide them along the way to modern classrooms for those who were deprived of access to them previously. Learning materials, training programs, and other types of assistance ensure that no child will go through their learning process alone and without the necessary resources.
But what we at OSS Foundation believe is that education for children is not just about going to school. It is about thriving in it – finding your strengths, setting your aspirations, and entering adulthood with all the right skills and confidence you need to make an impact on your world.

OSS Foundation is of the strong belief that it is impossible to create a healthy, sustainable society without taking care of the wellbeing of its citizens. Health is not something that can only be enjoyed by those lucky enough to be born into a comfortable lifestyle it is a basic human right, and all human beings must have equal access to it irrespective of their place of birth, economic status, or social background.
Unfortunately, however, the current state of affairs in much of India proves otherwise.
There are millions of Indians who lack proper healthcare facilities, do not receive basic medical attention, are unable to meet their nutritional needs, and are unaware of the necessary information to take good care of themselves. The above issues are not occasional occurrences; they are structural shortcomings that affect many people's lives on a constant basis, causing unnecessary suffering and loss of life.
The rise in prevalence of lifestyle diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity, coupled with weak health care infrastructure and disparity in the accessibility of health care facilities, makes the significance of our efforts undeniable. This is a constant reminder of why the OSS Foundation was founded and the importance of its work.
The OSS Foundation aims to transform this status quo and create change that is sustainable based on the principles of preventive medicine and accessible health care.
Prevention should not be considered as secondary to treatment; it is just as crucial. The onset of illness is what perpetuates the negative health and socioeconomic situation for at-risk communities. Preventing this entails going to these individuals beforehand, talking to them in their language, and giving them the necessary information and resources to take control of their own health.

There are no boundaries to disasters. They occur suddenly, ruthlessly, and irrespective of whom they hit, demolishing homes, destroying livelihoods, and disintegrating the very fabric of communities within mere hours. Be it the destructive waves of floods, the jolting tremors of an earthquake, the destructive force of a cyclone, the silent killer of a pandemic, or the harsh realities of a humanitarian crisis, disasters can bring life to its knees in no time, leaving people with only what they wear and uncertain of everything else.
It is invariably the most vulnerable that carry the brunt of disasters. From the elderly to children, from disabled to poor, all find themselves deprived of everything in one go – their homes turned into rubble, their means of earning destroyed, their food sources washed away, and access to basic necessities blocked. To such individuals, a disaster is no ordinary challenge, but a total collapse of their lives.
It is important for OSS Foundation that any disaster response effort should go beyond providing aid packages. Such activities should be based on empathy, coordination, and a steadfast dedication to restoring dignity to people affected by disasters.
In the aftermath of any disaster, OSS Foundation acts quickly and effectively to make sure that aid is provided to those who need it most, fast and in a safe manner. Any moment is crucial during a disaster, and speed and coordination cannot just be considered a matter of operational efficiency. In such cases, they can become a matter of life or death.
Every relief activity carried out by OSS Foundation is aimed at providing adequate and timely assistance to those affected by disasters.
